Frequently Asked Questions
Will lessons be recorded?
Yes, and No.
Video Recording Guidelines: In order to preserve our children’s rights to confidentiality and privacy, we will not record Zoom classroom meetings where children are present. We ask all parents to also preserve the privacy of our children by not recording Zoom calls your child is invited to. Teachers will also be creating recorded lessons for you to share with your children at a time that works for you. Each classroom will have it’s own YouTube channel that will be shared with you (if it hasn’t already) by your teacher when it is ready to be published. Jarrow Montessori has its own channel, in which we will place co-curricular YouTube videos by the end of the week. Main Channel
What will be recorded and shared:
- Teacher-only lessons without children in the video
- All co-curricular lessons (art, music, outdoor education, yoga, and
- movement)
- Any messages from teachers geared towards parents
Can we borrow Montessori materials?
Unfortunately, we cannot lend out materials because we cannot guarantee the materials will be sanitized and disinfected if they go back and forth among children. All our materials are now disinfected and stored away until the children return.
Do we have an option to get our children’s work via email instead of printed packets?
In most cases yes, if you can print at home. Contact your teacher directly if you prefer to receive your child’s work via email. We can not guarantee all work can be delivered this way and will be dependent on the types of work assigned.
