We have had two beautiful examples of the generosity of spirit this week. The first was the delivery of all the donated socks and goodies the Upper Elementary Community Service Committee made this week to the Bridge House. These items will be given out over the holidays to the homeless.
The second was the delivery of beautiful handmade cards and snowflakes to the entire staff of the Boulder Humane Society, made by the students of Upper Elementary during art class with our beloved Tania Henderson. Tania took our 6th-grade elders to the shelter to deliver these treasures from the heart. And they got a little kitty love in return! The Humane Society posted on their website:
“These young philanthropists from Jarrow Montessori School stopped by to show Tobby the cat some love and deliver over 70 handmade, personalized cards for our hardworking staff. Their kindness is inspiring and we wanted to share a ‘thank you’ for their creativity and for spreading joy this holiday season. Tobby certainly enjoyed the attention!”
