Jarrow Montessori is truly a special place. Whether you have been involved with the Jarrow community for years or you are a new family, we encourage you to take an active role in helping Jarrow to grow. There is something for everyone!
Like most independent schools, Jarrow Montessori relies on the time, talents and financial contributions of all our community members. This support allows us to offer the Montessori experience for which we have been known for 50+ years, and helps our students become compassionate, independent thinkers and life-long learners.
Jarrow offers two major ways to contribute to the financial well being of our school. The Annual Fund runs for 100 days from October though January. The Annual Fund supports the people and programs that make Jarrow such an amazing school.
The gala, also known as Jarrow’s “Big Night” is our biggest fundraising event of the year. Held in the spring, the gala brings together the Jarrow community for great food and drinks, silent and live auction, Paddle Raiser, dancing and opportunities to support our teaching staff though our “Teacher Wishes” program.
While these two initiatives provide Jarrow with the most fundraising dollars, there are several other ways that you can give:
Grocery Card Program: This program is hugely beneficial to our community and it costs you nothing! You can buy Grocery Cards from us at face value and the stores give back between 3% and 7% to Jarrow. It’s easy! Stores include Lucky’s Market, Whole Foods, Safeway, Vitamin Cottage and King Soopers. The cards are re-loadable.
Spirit Wear: Kids and parents alike can show school spirit by proudly wearing our new colorful tee shirts. The “Jarrow Store” will be open for on Monday mornings from 8-11 am (Development office) or by appointment. You’ll also see tees being sold at various school events throughout the year.
Amazon Smiles: Placing an order with Amazon? If you go to smiles.amazon.com (same products), Jarrow Montessori will receive 5% of the purchase price.
Our Fall Donor reception honors our families who gave at the 1K and up level during the previous school year. The Spring Donor dinner celebrates Jarrow donors who gave at the Leadership level (5K and up). We hope you will consider joining us!
Finally, there is the Colorado Child Care Contribution Credit program. Taxpayers that make a monetary contribution to promote childcare in Colorado may claim an income tax credit of up to 50% of the total contribution. At Jarrow, this applies to Annual Fund donations, as well as Teacher Wishes and the Paddle Raiser at the Gala.
With gratitude for your ongoing support!
