The Heart of Jarrow Annual Fund is our most important fundraising effort of the year. Every dollar raised supports the annual operating budget in the year it is given, and is our answer to balancing the intentional gap between tuition and the actual cost of educating each student, which is thousands more. Annual Fund donations go directly to work this year, supporting the salaries and benefits of our dedicated teachers and staff as well as materials and facilities.

How Much is Helpful?
It is our sincere hope that you will make a gift that is meaningful for your family, and that makes you feel great about supporting the school you love. Our estimated gap between the cost of educating each child and our budget is approximately $1,000. Any amount is very impactful and greatly appreciated!
When Should I Donate?
The Heart of Jarrow Fund runs for our entire fiscal year, August 1 – July 31. We are grateful for donations at any time of the year!
How Can I Make my Donation Go Farther?
We are proud to be a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. As such, your donation qualifies as federally-recognized charitable contribution and is eligible for tax benefits. In Colorado, we have the added benefit of the Child Care Contribution Tax Credit. Taxpayers who make a monetary contribution to promote child care may claim an income tax credit of 50% of their total contribution.* We are able to accept foundation grants and corporate matching grants as well. Please check with your HR dept to see if your employer offers this wonderful benefit. (Local participants include Ball Aerospace,
GE Foundation, Google , Nvidia, and UBS.) * We recommend that you consult your tax advisor because each situation is unique. Jarrow Montessori School and its affiliates do not provide tax, legal or accounting advice. This material has been prepared for

As we continue to keep the safety of our families a priority, we have invested in areas, including expensive renovations which make it possible for us to social distance, from additional bathrooms to sunshades, and our classrooms have the highest quality air purifiers available. Your support is essential. Together, we can help Jarrow sustain and thrive during this unusual time in our 59 year history. Thank you, as always, for your continued support and please don’t hesitate to contact me to hear how your donation will make a difference at Jarrow Montessori School.

Almost every year for the past 7 years, I’ve hosted the annual gala. I have no experience in this realm, but when I learned how impactful the gala was in raising money for tuition assistance and special projects through the paddle-raiser, I jumped at the idea. I believe in Jarrow and the impact it has on not only my children, but our whole family. But more importantly, I believe that no one should be denied the Jarrow experience because they are financially unable to do so.
If the past year has taught us anything, it’s how blessed we are to have such amazing teachers guiding our children. We contributed because we believe in Jarrow. And we ask you to join us in giving whatever you can to help in this critical time for our school and community.”

At Jarrow, we strive to to keep a moderate tuition and provide the highest quality Montessori education. We do this by maintaining an intentional gap between the cost of tuition and the actual cost of educating each student. The Annual Fund helps to bridge this gap. With support from you, we can continue to offer this opportunity. Your gift will directly support our annual operating budget, and be put to work right away, providing for our teachers and staff salaries, our beautiful learning environments, special programs, faculty development, and tuition assistance.
Through the years, we have been proud to count alumni, trustees, parents, family members, grandparents, extended family members, and the entire staff of Jarrow as the heartbeat of the Jarrow Annual Fund’s success. We ask that you join us this year to help us surpass our fundraising goals and exceed our dreams.
As you think about giving to Jarrow, we ask you to consider the ripple effect of a generous gift, and how it could make the difference for your child, for your family, and our entire community. Your participation, in any way, is meaningful and greatly appreciated.
Why We Give
“For our son Liam, Jarrow is so much more than a school. It is his community of learning and of friendship. It has always been Liam’s love for his school that has inspired us to participate more and give more, whether it’s through volunteering for events or bidding on classroom projects at the Gala.
Now as the Chair of the Board of Trustees, I have gone from a parent who wants to support my son’s school, to an ambassador of Jarrow, who knows the inspiring impact giving to Jarrow has had and will have on generations to come.
Right now, our school needs us more than ever. We want Jarrow to come out of this crisis thriving and we can make sure that happens by giving to the teachers and staff that have made this school such a wonderful part of our lives. We hope you will join us.”

“I am so thankful for Jarrow remaining open and keeping our kids in school. We came to Jarrow last year when we moved to Boulder and found a truly unique place that we value so much. I have witnessed my son, Preston, develop into a self-sufficient, confident and caring little boy whose energy and spunk is embraced and fostered. Though this year is unique and many of you new families haven’t had the chance to get to know the community as it would be if life were normal, I hope you feel as nourished as we do just being a part of this wonderful place.
I contributed to Jarrow because of how much it has meant to me for Preston to find a home here in Boulder and to show my appreciation for the teachers and staff who have made our lives infinitely more enriched.”
